I hope everybody had an awesome Easter! We did! Even though the weather ironically was cold; a stark difference from the warm weather all week long, we managed to make it work out! As I'm writing this post I realized that I haven't even made an post about last year's Easter. What the butt?!
So why not show you now before I get into the details of what happened on Sunday.
The morning started off with getting dressed for church. I got Sofia in her dress and while she was getting her teeth brushed with Juan, went out to get her Easter basket out of my mom's car.
She was so surprised but in love with her basket. My aunt graciously bought it for her and she told me that Sofia could egg hunt with the little backpack attached to it. #everybodylovessofia
Sofia ate only a few pieces of candy before we headed out to church for the Easter service. I greeted people the day before but this time I was able to enjoy the service that the pastor had waiting for us. It was moving just as it always is, telling not only the story of Jesus rising but of the thief on the cross next to him that asked at the last moments of his life to be remembered in Heaven. As a result Jesus brought him into the kingdom of heaven as well.
The egg hunt was next after service and Sofia had a blast putting the eggs in her backpack with all of the other babies to 3 year olds.
This Easter was fun but it was also a bit laid back then usual. I can't wait to see what next year hold for us.
And now...an Easter photo dump. Enjoy!
